Our story
Home, brought with us.
A story about two places, and the food that connects them.

Two places
When I was seven, I moved from Burkina Faso to the Netherlands.
Everything was new — the language, the weather, the people and, especially, the food.
Every summer I went back. I brought Dutch snacks with me, and I always brought something back: dried mango. Not as a health product, not as a topping. Simply as a snack, the way everyone eats it there.
That contrast never left me. In one place, food this simple is ordinary. In the other, it barely exists.

Why FASO exists
We are more conscious than ever about what we eat: how processed it is, what has been added, where it came from.
And something this simple shouldn't need to be complicated.
FASO works with producers in West Africa to bring real food to Europe — made close to where it grows, with nothing unnecessary added.
We start with mango. It is not where we intend to stop.
